Panacea® R-3400 & PP-340 have been specified and used in pulp mill bleach systems for >50 years. They are a unique compound formulation only available from Prince.

Special Plasticized, Easy-to-Seal, Black Vinyl Gasketing Material
R-3400:

Bleaching Pulp Mills often prefer R-3400 when compared to PTFE-based gaskets because R-3400 is:
- Less expensive
- Easier to seal
- Has better compression set
- Long-term sealability
Panacea® R-3400 and PP-340 are available:
- Extruded Sheet roll stock
- Press-Made Sheet
- Full-face pipe flange gaskets
- Custom fabricated gaskets, extrusions & splicing, such as Explosion Hatch Gaskets (per photo to the left)
- Tubing, available on a custom-basis
Panacea® R-3400 & PP-340 are suitable for Chlorine Dioxide gas and Chlorine Dioxide solution service. They also can be used in many chemical services where PVC is suitable. Check with Prince regarding specific applications.
6962 Special EPDM
Panacea® 6962 is a unique elastomer compounded with a high polymer content (≥53%), with a peroxide cure.
- Typical service through 300ºF / 149ºC
- Better sealing ability (compression set), compared to commercial-grade EPDM
- 6962 is available as gasketing, tubing, hose, expansion joints, as well as molded and fabricated parts.
6962 Recommended Applications for Pulp Bleach Mills:
- Dilute Chlorine Dioxide
- Caustic Liquor
- Sulfuric Acid
- Methanol
- Sodium Chlorate
- Water
PT-G White
Bead-Reinforced Fluoroplastic Gasket Material for Service Temperatures up to 500°F / 260°C
Prince’s PT-G White PTFE Gasketing Compound with bead reinforcing:
- The bead reinforcing enables long-term sealing, whereas standard PTFE sheet material tends to creep perpendicularly from flange loading, and then leaks.
- Displays light flange loading in temperatures from -300ºF/-184ºC up to 500ºF/260ºC.
- Exhibits a low creep factor under pressure.
- Easily removed from flanges.
- Resistance to permanent set.
- Formable on uneven or warped flanged faces.
- Maximum sheet size: 60” x 60” (1524 mm x 1524 mm); thickness is 1/8” (3.2 mm) only
