"PANACEA"®
PT-G White

A SPECIAL PTFE FLUOROPLASTIC COMPOUND WITH BEAD REINFORCING
FOR  HIGHLY CORROSIVE ATMOSPHERES

Prince has developed over a  period of years a PTFE Gasketing Compound with bead reinforcing displaying  light flange loading in temperatures from -300°F up to 500°F. This compound displays a low creep factor under pressure and further is easy  to remove from flanges. Resistance to permanent set is one of its desired  traits together with ease in formability on uneven or warped flanged faces.

 "PANACEA"®  PT-G
"PANACEA"® PT-G is a gasketing material containing microscopic inorganic round beads consistently disbursed throughout a PTFE base. This unique  mixture allows for precision control over cold-flow problems inherent  with virgin PTFE. The exacting mixture of PT-G virtually eliminates the need for retightening. PT-G is the result of over a decade  of research, development and testing. This history has brought  PT-G to the level of perfection our industry demands.

 ASBESTOS-FREE
New OSHA regulations state the allowable maximum of free-floating asbestos fibers is .02 P.P.M.. Historically, the normal method  of asbestos gasket removal has been grinding or buffing away the excess left from a sticking gasket These new regulations are causing maintenance people to radically change their method of gasket removal. By changing to PT-G, your costs of gasketing will be substantially reduced.

Industries

Petro-Chemical - Refineries - Utilities - Pipelines - Pulp and Paper
Food and Beverages - Marine - Transportation

Application and Features

  • Extreme Chemical Resistance
    -350 Deg. F to 500 Deg. F
  • Low Cold Flow
  • Low Torque Requirements
  • Identifiable Color For Visual
    Inspection and Safety
  • Non-stick
  • Warped or Scored Flange Surfaces Benefit from the Exceptional "Sealability" or "Formability" of PT-G
  • Large Diameter Flanges benefit from the Ease of Bolting and Ease of Installation (  1 - Piece Construction) of PT-G

  • Standard A.P.I.  flanges will seal easier and maintenance personnel will find  PT-G a most forgiving Gasket Material.
  • PT-G White is an ideal candidate for consideration where high temperature/pressure combinations are blowing out rubber gaskets
