Description:

  • 5 FT.  X 10 FT. fixed table with vacuum holddown, moving gantry, automated  5 tool changer, 10 HP spindle with vertical tool location sensing within +/- .002".

Parts  Production: (general description)

  • Ranging  from 1/32" thick spacers to 1" to 36" diameter ring and socket  flanges up to 3" thick. Unlimited contours/profiles of sheet also  up to 3" thick.
  • Parts  can be produced from customer drawings or can he duplicated from  actual parts. Where customer drawings are not available Prince Rubber & Plastics can assist in generating the required drawings.
  • In all cases, drawings and parts must be reviewed by Prince Rubber &  Plastics to confirm actual dimensions and determine what machine set-up and tooling are required.

Control/Programming  Systems:

  • The  router uses high performance, high reliability AC servo drives for higher acceleration and faster cycle times, resulting in accurate  and high output production runs.
  •  Hand held programmer  unit provides close-up remote programming for lines, arcs, holes,  counterboring, angles and flycutting for various thickness of sheet  stock. Also, provides speed control and editing for existing and  future programming.
  • Probe  system moves the 3 axis spindle sensing the exact contour or profile of the part to be produced, automatically entering the data into the computer.
  • Computer programming allows for accurate repeatability of parts production within +/- .002".

Speeds and Feeds:

  • Spindle  speeds to 18,000 RPM with linear feeds of 1 inch to 900 inches/minute depending on material type and thickness and part complexity.

Tooling:

  • A wide range of standard tooling can be used such as end mills with various configurations, reamers, drills and fly cutters. Sizes from 1/8" diameter to 1-1/2" diameter. Special tooling can be provided, when required.
